Dr. Bharat Bhushan received an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1971, an M.S. in mechanics and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1973 and 1976, respectively, an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Troy, NY in 1980, Doctor Technicae from the University of Trondheim at Trondheim, Norway in 1990, a Doctor of Technical Sciences from the Warsaw University of Technology at Warsaw, Poland in 1996, and Doctor Honouris Causa from the National Academy of Sciences at Gomel, Belarus in 2000 and University of Kragujevac, Serbia in 2011. He is a registered professional engineer. He is presently an Ohio Eminent Scholar and The Howard D. Winbigler Professor in the College of Engineering, and the Director of the Nanoprobe Laboratory for Bio- & Nanotechnology and Biomimetics (NLB2) and affiliated faculty in John Glenn College of Public Affairs at the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. In 2013-14, he served as an ASME/AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow, House Committee on Science, Space & Technology, United States Congress, Washington, DC. His research interests include fundamental studies with a focus on scanning probe techniques in the interdisciplinary areas of bio/nanotribology, bio/nanomechanics and bio/nanomaterials characterization and applications to bio/nanotechnology, and biomimetics. He is an internationally recognized expert of bio/nanotribology and bio/nanomechanics using scanning probe microscopy, and is one of the most prolific authors. He is considered by some a pioneer of the tribology and mechanics of magnetic storage devices. He has authored 8 scientific books, 90+ handbook chapters, 800+ scientific papers (h-index – 76+; ISI Highly Cited Researcher in Materials Science since 2007 and in Biology and Biochemistry since 2013; ISI Top 5% Cited Authors for Journals in Chemistry since 2011), and 60+ technical reports. He has also edited 50+ books and holds 20 U.S. and foreign patents. He is co-editor of Springer NanoScience and Technology Series and co-editor of Microsystem Technologies, and Member of Editorial Board of PNAS. He has given more than 400 invited presentations on six continents and more than 200 keynote/plenary addresses at major international conferences.

Jean-Claude Daran has completed his PhD in 1973 from the Paul Sabatier’s University in Toulouse. He worked 18 years in the Transition Metal Chemistry Laboratory at the Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris. He did postdoctoral studies at the Oxford University in 1975-1977. He moved to the Coordination Chemistry Laboratory in Toulouse in 1994. He is now emeritus director. He has published more than 365 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as a Co-editor member of Acta Crystallographica C, E. He has been president of the French Association of Crystallography.

Andrzej Grzechnik has completed his PhD in Chemistry from the Arizona State University in 1996. Since then, he has been working on various topics in the fields of crystallography, materials science, solid state chemistry, condensed matter physics, and applied mineralogy. He has served as a board member of various scientific meetings and review panels. Currently, he is a Chair of the Special Interest Group on Crystallography of Functional Materials (SIG#12) of the European Crystallographic Association

Andriy Lotnyk has completed his PhD in 2007 from the University of Halle working at the Max Planck Institute of Macrostructure Physics (Halle) and postdoctoral studies from the same Institute. He has been a permanent staff member at the Faculty of Engineering, CAU of Kiel in 2009-2011. Presently, he is a group leader of the group “Structure Determination and Electron Microscopy” at the Leibniz Institute of Surface Modification (IOM). Dr. Lotnyk was awarded by the Otto Hahn Medal from the Max Planck Society in 2008. He has authored and co-authored more than 50 scientific publications in per-reviewed journals and about the same number of conference papers.

Dr. Kumar is currently Professor of Biochemistry at The Commonwealth Medical College, Scranton, PA, USA. His area of research is focused on the structural and functional analyses of steroid receptors’ intrinsically disordered N-terminal activation function domains. He has served/serving as an editorial board member of more than three-dozen peer-reviewed scientific journals and as a scientific reviewer for more than 70 peer-reviewed journals. He has also served on more than 30 national/international scientific grant review panels. He has over 100 publications including 2 Books and a Patent. Additionally, he has been invited to speak at numerous international scientific meetings and institutes/universities.

Dr. Vimal Joshi has appointed as a Principal at Shri R. K. Parikh Arts and Science College, Petlad in 2004. He received his Doctorate degree in 2001 under the guidance of Dr. M.J. Joshi in Solid State Physics and Materials Science from Saurashtra University Rajkot. He has published Ten research papers in journals. More than Twenty research papers were presented at different conferences of national and international. He attended more than forty academic and non-academic events. He has visited USA and Singapore to participate international conference. He is a recognized Ph.D. Guide of Physics at Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan and Gujarat University and guiding four students for their Ph. D. degree. He was Member of Board of Studies in Physics at Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan as well Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. He is a Life Member of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) and Association of All India College Principals (AICP). He has experience to organize more than twenty academic seminar, workshop as well as non-academic events.

Dr. Mukeshkumar M. Jotani has completed his Ph.D. in May 2003 from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat, INDIA and is carrying out postdoctoral work in collaboration with reputed researchers of X-ray Crystallography from country and abroad. He is at present an Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Bhavan’s Sheth R. A. College of Science, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, INDIA. He has published more than 50 papers in reputed journals and has an association with RESEARCH GATE. He is also serving as a reviewer in repute journals like Zeitscrift Fur Kristallographie and others. He has also an association with professional national bodies related to crystallography and Physics.

Quah Ching Kheng was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Physics at the age of 25 from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2011. On 21st Nov 2011, he was appointed as a senior lecturer under School of Physics by USM. He has been actively participating in various international conferences and workshops. He has particular interests in X-ray crystallography and temperature-dependent phase transitions studies. To-date, he has published 245 ISI/Scopus/SCI (Science Citation Index) journals with h index = 13 (Scopus) / 12 (ISI - Web of Knowledge), 778 total citations (Scopus) and cumulative impact factors = 222.86 (ResearchGate).
